SALVATION Isaiah 49:5-6 Part 2 of 3

And now the LORD says--he who formed me in the womb to be his servant to bring Jacob back to him and gather Israel to himself, for I am honored in the eyes of the LORD and my God has been my strength--he says: "It is too small a thing for you to be my servant to restore the tribes of Jacob and bring back those of Israel I have kept. I will also make you a light for the Gentiles, that my salvation may reach to the ends of the earth."

I will also make you a light

John 1:9  The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world.

for the Gentiles

Isaiah 55:5  "Surely you will summon nations you know not, and nations you do not know will come running to you, because of the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, for he has endowed you with splendor."
Zechariah 8:22  "And many peoples and powerful nations will come to Jerusalem to seek the LORD Almighty and to entreat him."
Luke 2:29-32  "Sovereign Lord, as you have promised, you may now dismiss your servant in peace. For my eyes have seen your salvation, which you have prepared in the sight of all nations: a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of your people Israel."
