LOVE Jeremiah 33:30-33

"As for you, son of man, your people are talking together about you by the walls and at the doors of the houses, saying to each other, 'Come and hear the message that has come from the LORD.' My people come to you, as they usually do, and sit before you to hear your words, but they do not put them into practice. Their mouths speak of love, but their hearts are greedy for unjust gain. Indeed, to them you are nothing more than one who sings love songs with a beautiful voice and plays an instrument well, for they hear your words but do not put them into practice. When all this comes true--and it surely will--then they will know that a prophet has been among them."

My people come to you as they usually do, and sit before you to hear your words
Ezekiel 8:1 In the sixth year, in the sixth month on the fifth day, while I was sitting in my house and the elders of Judah were sitting before me, the hand of the Sovereign LORD came on me there.

Their mouths speak of love, but their hearts are greedy for unjust gain
Psalm 78:36-37 But then they would flatter him (God) with their mouths, lying to him with their tongues; their hearts were not loyal to him, they were not faithful to his covenant.
Isaiah 29:13 The Lord says: "These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is based on merely human rules they have been taught."
Matthew 13:22 "The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful."
1 John 3:18 Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.

for they hear your words but do not put them into practice
Mark 6:20b When Herod heard John, he was greatly puzzled; yet he liked to listen to him.

then they will know that a prophet has been among them
1 Samuel 3:20 And all Israel from Dan to Beersheba recognized that Samuel was attested as a prophet of the LORD.
Jeremiah 28:9 "But the prophet who prophesies peace will be recognized as one truly sent by the LORD only if his prediction comes true."
Ezekiel 2:5 "And whether they listen or fail to listen--for they are a rebellious people--they will know that a prophet has been among them."
