LOVE Daniel 9:4-6 Part 1 of 2

I prayed to the LORD my God and confessed: "Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and keep his commandments, we have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled; we have turned away from your commands and laws. We have not listened to your servants the prophets, who spoke in your name to our kings, our princes and our ancestors, and to all the people of the land."

I prayed to the LORD my God and confessed
1 Kings 8:30 "Hear the supplication of your servant and of your people Israel when they pray toward this place. Hear from heaven, your dwelling place, and when you hear, forgive."

Lord, the great and awesome God
Deuteronomy 7:21 Do not be terrified by them, for the LORD your God, who is among you, is a great and awesome God.

who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and keep his commandments
Deuteronomy 7:9 Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.
1 Kings 8:23 "LORD, the God of Israel, there is no God like you in heaven above or on earth below--you who keep your covenant of love with your servants who continue wholeheartedly in your way."

we have sinned and done wrong
Jeremiah 8:14 Why are we sitting here? Gather together! Let us flee to the fortified cities and perish there! For the LORD our God has doomed us to perish and given us poisoned water to drink, because we have sinned against him.
Psalm 106:6 We have sinned, even as our ancestors did; we have done wrong and acted wickedly.

we have turned away
Isaiah 53:6 We all , like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

from your commands and laws
Daniel 9:11 "All Israel has transgressed your law and turned away, refusing to obey you. Therefore the curses and sworn judgments written in the Law of Moses, the servant of God, have been poured out on us, because we have sinned against you."
Lamentations 1:20 "See, LORD, how distressed I am! I am in torment within, and in my heart I am disturbed, for I have been most rebellious. Outside, the sword bereaves; inside, there is only death."
Lamentations 3:42 "We have sinned and rebelled and you have not forgiven."
