For those who find me
Proverbs 3:13-15 Blessed are those who find wisdom, those who gain understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her.
find life
Proverbs 9:6 "Leave your simple ways and you will live; walk in the way in insight."
John 5:39-40 "You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life."
and receive favor from the LORD
Job 33:26 ". . . then that person can pray to God and find favor with him, they will see God's face and shout for joy; he will restore them to full well-being."
But those who fail to find me harm themselves
Proverbs 15:32 Those who disregard discipline despise themselves, but the one who heeds correction gains understanding.
Isaiah 3:9 The look on their faces testifies against them; they parade their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it. Woe to them! They have brought disaster upon themselves.
Jeremiah 40:2-3 When the commander of the guard found Jeremiah, he said to him, "The LORD your God decreed this disaster for this place. And now the LORD has brought it about; he has done just as he said he would. All this happened because you people sinned against the LORD and did not obey him."
