RESURRECTION Acts 2:29-32

"Brothers, I can tell you confidently that the patriarch David died and was buried, and his tomb is here to this day. But he was a prophet and knew that God had promised him on oath that he would place one of his descendants on his throne. Seeing what was ahead, he spoke of the resurrection of the Christ, that he was not abandoned to the grave, nor did his body see decay. God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of the fact."

Brothers, I can tell you confidently that the patriarch David died and was buried
Acts 13:36 "For when David had served God's purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep; he was buried with his fathers and his body decayed.
1 Kings 2:10 Then David rested with his fathers and was buried in the City of David.

But he was a prophet and knew that God had promised him on oath that he would place one of his descendants on his throne
Matthew 1:1 A record of the genealogy of Jesus Christ the son of David, the son of Abraham: ...
2 Samuel 7:16 "'Your house and your kingdom will endure forever before me; your throne will be established forever.'"
1 Chronicles 17:14 "'I will set him over my house and my kingdom forever; his throne will be established forever.'"

he spoke of the resurrection of the Christ, that he was not abandoned to the grave, nor did his body see decay
Psalm 16:10 ... because you will not abandon me to the grave, nor will you let your Holy One see decay.

God has raised this Jesus to life
Acts 2:24 "But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him."

and we are all witnesses of the fact
Luke 24:46-48 He told them, "This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things."
