Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.
Why are you downcast, O my soul?
Psalm 38:6 I am bowed down and brought very low; all day long I go about mourning.
Psalm 77:3 I remembered you, O God, and I groaned; I mused, and my spirit grew faint.
Lamentations 3:20 I well remember them, and my soul is downcast within me.
Matthew 26:38 Then he said to them, "My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me."
Why so disturbed within me?
Job 20:2 "My troubled thoughts prompt me to answer because I am greatly disturbed."
Put your hope in God
Psalm 25:4-5 Show me your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.
Psalm 71:14 But as for me, I will always have hope; I will praise you more and more.
for I will yet praise him
Psalm 9:1 I will praise you, O LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your works.

Psalm 18:46 The LORD lives! Praise be to my Rock! Exalted be God my Savior!

Faith encouraging faith -
Psalm 27:13-14 I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.
Praise him -
