1 John 5:3-5

This is love for God: to obey his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

This is love for God: to obey his commands
John 14:15 "If you love me, you will obey what I command."

And his commands are not burdensome
Matthew 11:30 "For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
Matthew 23:4 "They tie up heavy loads and put them on men's shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them."

for everyone born of God
John 1:12-13 Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God--children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.

overcomes the world
John 16:33 "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

Only he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God
1 John 5:1 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the father loves his child as well.
1 John 2:23 No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.
