Ecclesiastes 3:10-13

I have seen the burden God has placed on men. He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end. I know that there is nothing better for men than to be happy and do good while they live. That everyone may eat and drink and find satisfaction in all his toil--this is the gift of God.

I have seen the burden God has laid on men
Ecclesiastes 1:13 I devoted myself to study and to explore by wisdom all that is done under heaven. What a heavy burden God has laid on men!

He has made everything beautiful in its time
Ecclesiastes 3:1 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:

yet they cannot fathom what God has done
Job 11:7 "Can you fathom the mysteries of God? Can you probe the limits of the Almighty?

from beginning to end
Job 28:23-24 "God understands the way to it (wisdom) and he alone knows where it dwells, for he views the ends of the earth and sees everything under the heavens."
Romans 11:33 Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out!

That everyone may eat and drink
Ecclesiastes 2:3 I tried cheering myself with wine, and embracing folly--my mind still guiding me with wisdom. I wanted to see what was worthwhile for men to do under heaven during the few days of their lives.

and find satisfaction in all his toil--this is the gift of God
Psalm 34:12 Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days, ...
Deuteronomy 12:7 There, in the presence of the LORD your God, you and your families shall eat and shall rejoice in everything you have put your hand to, because the LORD your God has blessed you.
Ecclesiastes 2:24-25 A man can do nothing better than to eat and drink and find satisfaction in his work. This too, I see, is from the hand of God, for without him, who can eat or find enjoyment?
