John 16:1-3 Part 2 of 2

"All this (see John 15:18-27) I have told you so that you will not fall away. They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, the time is coming when anyone who kills you will think they are offering a service to God. They will do such things because they have not known the Father or me."

Isaiah 66:5  Hear the word of the LORD, you who tremble at his word: "Your own people who hate you, and exclude you because of my name, have said, 'Let the LORD be glorified, that we may see your joy!' Yet they will be but to shame."

They will do such things because they have not known the Father or me 
John 15:21  "They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the one who sent me."
John 17:25  "Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me." 
1 John 3:1  See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
