2 Timothy 4:1-2 Part 1 of 3

In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage--with great patience and careful instruction. 

In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead 
Acts 10:42  "He (Jesus, after his resurrection) commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one whom God appointed as judge of the living and the dead."

and in view of his appearing and his kingdom 
2 Timothy4:8  Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day--and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
1 Timothy 6:13-15a  In the sight of God, who gives life to everything, and of Christ Jesus, who while testifying before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, I charge you to keep this command without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which God will bring about in his own time--... 

I give you this charge 
1 Timothy 5:21  I charge you, in the sight of God and Christ Jesus and the elect angels, to keep these instructions without partiality, and to do nothing out of favoritism.

Preach 
1 Timothy 4:13  Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching.

the word 
Galatians 6:6  Nevertheless, the one who receives instruction in the word should share all good things with their instructor.
Matthew 4:4  Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.' (Deuteronomy 8:3)"
John 1:1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Ephesians 6:17  Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
2 Timothy 2:15  Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.
James 1:22  Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.
