When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, "Come!" I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth.

Revelation 4:7  The first living creature was like a lion, the second was like an ox, the third had a face like a man, the fourth was like a flying eagle.

Hosea 13:14  "I will deliver this people from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death. Where, O death, are your plagues? Where, O death, is your destruction?"
Revelation 1:18  "I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades."
Revelation 20:13-15  The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.

Jeremiah 15:2-3  "And if they ask you, 'Where shall we go?' tell them, 'This is what the LORD says: Those destined for death, to death; those for the sword, to the sword; those for starvation, to starvation; those for captivity, to captivity.' I will send four kinds of destroyers against them," declared the LORD, "the sword to kill and the dogs to drag away and the birds and the wild animals to devour and destroy."
Jeremiah 24:10  " 'I will send the sword, famine and plague against them until they are destroyed from the land I gave to them and their ancestors.' "
Ezekiel 5:12  "A third of your people will die of the plague or perish by famine inside you; a third will fall by the sword outside your walls; and a third I will scatter to the winds and pursue with drawn sword."
Ezekiel 5:17  "I will send famine and wild beasts against you, they will leave you childless. Plague and bloodshed will sweep through you, and I will bring the sword against you. I the LORD have spoken."
