Revelation 6:15-17 Part 2 of 2

"And behold, I am coming quickly.
Blessed is he who heeds the words of the prophecy of this book."
Revelation 22:7  NASB

Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and everyone else, both slave and free, hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains. They called to the mountains and the rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can withstand it?"

"For the great day of their wrath has come"
Joel 1:15  Alas for that day! For the day of the LORD is near; it will come like destruction from the Almighty.
Joel 2:1-2  Blow the trumpet in Zion; sound the alarm on my holy hill. Let all who live in the land tremble, for the day of the LORD is coming. It is close at hand--a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and blackness. Like dawn spreading across the mountains a large and mighty army comes, such as never was in ancient times nor ever will be in ages to come.
Joel 2:31  "The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD."

"and who can withstand it?"
Psalm 76:7  It is you alone who are to be feared. Who can stand before you when you are angry?
Nahum 1:6  Who can withstand his indignation? Who can endure his fierce anger? His wrath is poured out like fire; the rocks are shattered before him.
Malachi 3:2  But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he will be like a refiner's fire or a launderer's soap.
Romans 1:18-20  The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them. For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
John 3:17-18  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.
