Ephesians 6:16-17 Part 1 of 3

In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

1 John 5:4-5  ... for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one 
Matthew 5:37  "All you need to say is simply 'Yes' or 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one."
Matthew 6:13  "And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one."
Matthew 13:19  "When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path."
Matthew 13:38-39  "The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the people of the kingdom. The weeds are the people of the evil one, and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels."
John 17:15  "My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one."
2 Thessalonians 3:3  But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.
1 John 3:12  Do not be like Cain who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and brother's were righteous.
1 John 5:18-19  We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin; the One who was born of God keeps them safe, and the evil one cannot harm them. We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one.
