"When you did these things and I kept silent, you thought I was exactly like you. But I now arraign you and set my accusations before you."
When you did these things and I kept silent
Isaiah 42:14 "For a long time I have kept silent, I have been quiet and held myself back. But now, like a woman in childbirth, I cry out, I gasp and pant."

Isaiah 62:1 For Zion's sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem's sake I will not remain quiet, till her vindication shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch.
Isaiah 64:12 After all this, LORD, will you hold yourself back? Will you keep silent and punish us beyond measure?
But I now arraign you
Psalm 6:1 LORD, do not rebuke me in your anger or discipline me in your wrath.
Psalm 18:15 The valleys of the sea were exposed and the foundations of the earth laid bare at your rebuke, LORD, at the blast of breath from your nostrils.
Psalm 76:6 At your rebuke, God of Jacob, both horse and chariot lie still.
Psalm 104:7-8 But at your rebuke the waters fled, at the sound of your thunder they took flight; they flowed over the mountains, they went down into the valleys, to the place you assigned for them.
Isaiah 50:2 "When I came, why was there no one? When I called, why was there no one to answer? Was my arm too short to deliver you? Do I lack the strength to rescue you? By a mere rebuke I dry up the sea, I turn rivers into a desert; their fish rot for lack of water and die of thirst."
and set my accusations before you
Psalm 85:5 Will you be angry with us forever? Will you prolong your anger through all generations?
Isaiah 57:16-17 "I will not accuse them forever, nor will I always be angry, for then they would faint away because of me--the very people I have created. I was enraged by their sinful greed; I punished them, and hid my face in anger, yet they kept on in their willful ways."

Psalm 50:3 Part 2 of 2
Our God comes and will not be silent; a fire devours before him, and around him a tempest rages.
and around him a tempest rages
Psalm 147:17-18 He hurls down his hail like pebbles. Who can withstand his icy blast? He sends his word and melts them; he stirs up his breezes and the waters flow.
Isaiah 29:5b-6 Suddenly, in an instant, the LORD Almighty will come with thunder and earthquake and great noise, with windstorm and tempest and flames of devouring fire.
Isaiah 30:27-28 See, the Name of the LORD comes from afar, with burning anger and dense clouds of smoke; his lips are full of wrath, and his tongue is a consuming fire. His breath is like a rushing torrent rising up to the neck. He shakes the nations in the sieve of destruction; he places in the jaws of the peoples a bit that leads them astray.
Jonah 1:4 Then the LORD sent a great wind on the sea, and such a violent storm arose that the ship threatened to break up.
Nahum 1:3-6 The LORD is slow to anger but great in power; the LORD will not leave the guilty unpunished. His way is in the whirlwind and the storm, and clouds are the dust of his feet. He rebukes the sea and it dries up; he makes all the rivers run dry. Bashan and Carmel wither and the blossoms of Lebanon fade. The mountains quake before him and the hills melt away. The earth trembles at his presence, the world and all who live in it. Who can withstand his indignation? Who can endure his fierce anger? His wrath is poured out like fire; the rocks are shattered before him.

Psalm 50:1-2
The Mighty One, God, the LORD, speaks and summons the earth from the rising of the sun to where it sets. From Zion, perfect in beauty, God shines forth.
The Mighty One, God, the LORD
Joshua 22:21-23 Then Reuben, Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh replied to the heads of the clans of Israel: "The Mighty One, God, the LORD! The Mighty One, God, the LORD! He knows! And let Israel know! If this has been in rebellion of disobedience to the LORD, do not spare us this day. If we have built our own altar to turn away from the LORD and to offer burnt offerings and grain offerings, or to sacrifice fellowship offerings on it, may the LORD himself call us to account."
speaks and summons the earth from the rising of the sun to where it sets
Psalm 113:3 From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the LORD be praised.
From Zion
Psalm 2:6 "I have installed my king on Zion, my holy mountain."
perfect in beauty
Psalm 48:2 Beautiful in its loftiness, the joy of the whole earth, like the heights of Zaphon is Mount Zion, the city of the Great King.
Lamentations 2:15 All who pass your way clap their hands at you; they scoff and shake their heads at Daughter Jerusalem: "Is this the city that was called the perfection of beauty, the joy of the whole earth?"
God shines forth
Deuteronomy 33:1-2 This is the blessing that Moses the man of God pronounced on the Israelites before his death. He said: "The LORD came from Sinai and dawned over them from Seir; he shone forth from Mount Paran. He came with myriads of holy ones from the south, from his mountain slopes."

The revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him
John 12:49 "For I did not speak on my own, but the Father who sent me commanded me to say all that I have spoken."
John 17:8 "For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them. They know with certainty that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me."

Revelation 1:19 "Write, therefore, what you have seen (past), what is now (present) and what will take place later (future)."
Daniel 2:27-29 Daniel replied, "No wise man, enchanter, magician or diviner can explain to the king the mystery he has asked about, but there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries. He has shown King Nebuchadnezzar what will happen in days to come. Your dream and the visions that passed through your mind as you were lying in bed are these: As Your Majesty was lying there, your mind turned to things to come, and the revealer of mysteries showed you what is going to happen."

JESUS - 1 John 4:15
If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God.
If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God
1 John 2:23 No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.
1 John 5:5 Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.
God lives in them and they in God
1 John 3:24 The one who keeps God's commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.

JESUS - 1 John 2:6
Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.
Matthew 11:29-30 "Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
John 13:15 "I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you."
Philippians 2:5-8 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death--even death on a cross!
1 John 5:3-5 In fact, this is love for God: to keep his commands. And his commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

JESUS - 1 John 2:1-2
My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father--Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
My dear children
1 John 2:12 I am writing you, dear children, because your sins have been forgiven on account of his name.
1 John 3:7 Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. the one who does what is right is righteous, just as he (Christ) is righteous.
1 John 3:18 Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.
1 John 4:4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them (false spirits), because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
1 John 5:21 Dear children, keep yourselves from idols.
1 Thessalonians 2:11-12 For you know that we dealt with each of you as a father deals with his own children, encouraging, comforting and urging you to live lives worthy of God, who calls you into his kingdom and glory.
we have an advocate with the Father
Romans 8:34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died--more than that, who was raised to life--is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.
1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, ...
He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins
Romans 3:25a God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood--to be received by faith.
1 John 4:10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world
Matthew 1:21 "She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."
John 3:17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

JESUS - 1 John 1:7
But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
But if we walk in the light
Isaiah 2:5 Come, descendants of Jacob, let us walk in the light of the LORD.
Isaiah 60:1 "Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you."
Isaiah 60:19-20 "The sun will no more be your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you, for the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory. Your sun will never set again, and your moon will wane no more; the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your days of sorrow will end.
1 John 1:5 This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.
and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin
Hebrews 9:14 How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!
Revelation 1:4-6 John, To the seven churches in the province of Asia: Grace and peace to you from him who is, and who was, and who is to come, and from the seven spirits before his throne, and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve his God and Father--to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.
Revelation 7:14 I answered, "Sir, you know." and he said, "These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb."

JESUS - 2 Peter 1:16
For we did not follow cleverly devised stories when we told you about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ in power, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
For we did not follow cleverly devised stories when we told you about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ in power
Mark 13:26 "At that time people will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory."
Mark 14:62 "I am," said Jesus. "And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven."
but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty
Matthew 17:1-8 After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James and John the brother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light. Just then there appeared before them Moses and Elijah, talking with Jesus. Peter said to Jesus, "Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you wish, I will put up three shelters--one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah." While he was still speaking, a bright cloud covered them, and a voice from the cloud said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to him!" When the disciples heard this, they fell face down to the ground, terrified. But Jesus came and touched them. "Get up," he said. "Don't be afraid." When they looked up, they saw no one except Jesus.

JESUS - 1 Peter 1:3
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, ...
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
Ephesians 1:3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
In his great mercy
Titus 3:5 ... he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, ...
he has given us new birth
1 Peter 1:23 For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.
John 1:13 ... children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.
into a living hope
1 Peter 1:13 Therefore, with minds that are alert and sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming.
1 Peter 1:21 Through him you believe in God, who raised him from the dead and glorified him, and so your faith and hope are in God.

1 Peter 3:21-22 ... and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also--not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has gone into heaven and is at God's right hand--with angels, authorities and powers in submission to him.

JESUS - Hebrews 12:23b-25a Part 2 of 2
You have come
to God, the Judge of all, to the spirits of the righteous made perfect,
to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that
speaks a better word than the blood of Abel. See to it that you do not
refuse him who speaks.
that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel
Genesis 4:10 The LORD said, "What have you done? Listen! Your brother's blood cries out to me from the ground."
Hebrews 11:4 By faith Abel brought God a better offering than Cain did. By faith he was commended as righteous, when God spoke well of his offerings. And by faith Abel still speaks, even though he is dead.
See to it that you do not refuse him who speaks
Hebrews 3:12 See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God.
Hebrews 1:1-2 In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe.

JESUS - Hebrews 12:23b-25a Part 1 of 2
You have come to God, the Judge of all, to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel. See to it that you do not refuse him who speaks.
You have come to God, the Judge of all
Genesis 18:25 "Far be it from you to do such a thing--to kill the righteous with the wicked, treating the righteous and the wicked alike. Far be it from you! Will not the Judge of all the earth do right?"
Psalm 94:2 Rise up, Judge of the earth; pay back the proud what they deserve.
to the spirits of the righteous made perfect
Philippians 3:12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.
to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant
Galatians 3:20 A mediator, however, implies more than one party; but God is one.
and to the sprinkled blood
Hebrews 9:19-20 When Moses had proclaimed every command of the law to all the people, he took the blood of calves, together with water, scarlet wool and branches of hyssop, and sprinkled the scroll and all the people. He said, "This is the blood of the covenant, which God has commanded you to keep."
Hebrews 10:22 ... let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.
1 Peter 1:1-2 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To God's elect, exiles scattered throughout the provinces of Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia and Bithynia, who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to be obedient to Jesus Christ and sprinkled with his blood: Grace and peace be yours in abundance.

JESUS - Hebrews 12:1-2
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
And let us run
1 Corinthians 9:24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.
with perseverance the race marked out for us
Hebrews 10:36 You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.
fixing our eyes on Jesus
Psalm 25:15 My eyes are ever on the LORD, for only he will release my feet from the snare.
the pioneer and perfecter of faith
Hebrews 2:10-11 In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what he suffered. Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters.
For the joy set before him he endured the cross
Philippians 2:8-11 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death--even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Hebrews 2:9 But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.
scorning its shame
Hebrews 13:13 Let us, then, go to him outside the camp, bearing the disgrace he bore.
and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God
Mark 16:19 After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God.

JESUS - Hebrews 8:6
But in fact the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant of which he is mediator is superior to the old one, since the new covenant is established on better promises.
But in fact the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant
Hebrews 8:7-13 For if there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant, no place would have been sought for another. But God found fault with the people and said: "The days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah. It will not be like the covenant I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, because they did not remain faithful to my covenant, and I turned away from them, declares the Lord. This is the covenant I will establish with the people of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, 'Know the Lord,' because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest. For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more." (Jeremiah 31:31-34) By calling this covenant "new," he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear.
Luke 22:20 In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you."
of which he is the mediator
Galatians 3:20 A mediator, however, implies more than one party; but God is one.
1 Timothy 2:5-6 For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed to at the proper time.
Hebrews 9:15 For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance--now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.

JESUS - Hebrews 7:22-25 Part 2 of 2
Because of
this oath [see verses 20-21], Jesus has become the guarantor of a better
covenant. Now there have been many of those priests, since death
prevented them from continuing in office; but because Jesus lives
forever, he has a permanent priesthood. Therefore he is able to save
completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to
intercede for them.
Therefore he is able to save completely
John 3:17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
Acts 16:31 They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved--you and your household."
1 Corinthians 1:20-21 Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.
1 Timothy 2:3-4 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
Titus 3:4-5a But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy.
those who come to God through him
Hebrews 7:18-19 The former regulation is set aside because it was weak and useless (for the law made nothing perfect), and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to God.
because he always lives to intercede for them
Romans 8:34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died--more than that, who was raised to life--is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.

Jesus has become the guarantor of a better covenant
Luke 22:20 In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you."
Exodus 24:8 Moses then took the blood, sprinkled it on the people and said, "This is the blood of the covenant that the LORD has made with you in accordance with all these words."
Isaiah 42:6 "I, the LORD, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles, ..."
Jeremiah 31:31-34 "The days are coming," declares the LORD, "when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah. It will not be like the covenant I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, because they broke my covenant, though I was a husband to them," declares the LORD. "This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel after that time," declares the LORD. "I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, 'Know the LORD,' because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest," declares the LORD. "For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more."

but because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood
Hebrews 7:28 For the law appoints as high priests men in all their weakness; but the oath, which came after the law, appointed the Son, who has been made perfect forever.
