The LORD is my light and my salvation--whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life--of whom shall I be afraid?
The LORD is my light
2 Samuel 22:29 "You are my lamp, O LORD; the LORD turns my darkness into light."
and my salvation
Exodus 15:2 "The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father's God, and I will exalt him."
Psalm 3:8 From the LORD comes deliverance. May your blessing be on your people.
The LORD is the stronghold of my life
Psalm 9:9 The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.
of whom shall I be afraid?
Job 13:15 "Though he slay me, yet I will hope in him; I will surely defend my ways to his face."
Psalm 56:3-4 When I am afraid I will trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?
